The Intertidal is a unique series of point-to-point running challenges across Jersey's foreshore, linking historic fortifications and coastal landmarks. It's a landscape where archaeology, geology, and ecology meet in a way that's rare even among island environments. With the clock ticking as the tide turns, it's equal parts adventure, discipline, and respect for the sea.

Course Character
The surface varies across every route and may include firm sand, deep shingle, slippery seaweed, rock shelves, tidal runnels, and brief promenade transitions.
Conditions can change quickly with swell, wind, and tidal timing. Runners are responsible for choosing sensible lines, monitoring the tide, and moving safely throughout the course.
Landmark-Driven Concept
Unlike traditional road races or marked trails, The Intertidal challenges you to navigate between designated coastal landmarks — from 18th-century offshore towers to tidal castles and natural reefs.
You must visit all required checkpoints for your event in the correct sequence to validate your finish.
Rules Summary
- You must follow the required landmark sequence for your event and stay within event rules
- You must not take unsafe lines or cross impassable channels
- You must respect local residents, wildlife, marine habitats, and other foreshore users
- You must carry all mandatory kit required for the day
- You must comply immediately with any instruction from the race safety team
